A general solo practice in the Noord-Brabant region is looking for a locum to take over the practice owner’s patients for two to three months. It concerns 3 to 4 days per week, preferably Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. The start is expected at the beginning of January, with handover days in December. The fee is based on a percentage of revenue or an hourly rate.
What you’ll be doing
You take over the regular patient group of a practice owner who has been working here for more than twenty years. The core is general dentistry: check-ups, restorations and the daily treatments that come with them. You can also take on crown and bridge work. Prosthetics are allowed, but not required; if the lead time does not fit within your period, two dental prosthetists nearby will take it over.
Who this suits
On your days you are the only dentist in the building and you work independently at the chair. So this suits a dentist who is used to making decisions without a colleague on site. If you want to work with your own assistant, that is open to discussion.
What the practice offers
- A fee based on a percentage of revenue or an hourly rate, to be agreed with the practice
- Handover days in December, so that you know the practice when you start
- If you prefer to work with a particular composite, the practice will order it for you
It is a general practice with one dentist; in addition, dental hygienists and assistants work there. Novadent is used.
Education and experience
- BIG registration as a dentist
- Experience as a general dentist, enough to make decisions yourself without a colleague on site
- Fluent Dutch in contact with patients
- Advantages: experience with Novadent and with prosthetics
What you bring
In addition to your BIG registration and experience as a general dentist, the practice asks that you deliver on the days and weeks you commit to.
Honestly: this is a temporary assignment of two to three months, the start date is not yet fixed and in the final month the practice owner may partly return.
