For practices.
A dental job that just won’t fill? We speak to the people in this field ourselves — and we know who is ready for a next step.
Recruitment & selection
Looking for a permanent hire? We don’t start with a job advert but with a visit to your practice: what does this person need to be able to do, and which team do they need to fit into? After that you don’t get a stack of CVs, but a handful of candidates who genuinely fit — including the honest story.
Want to get to know each other first? With temp-to-perm someone starts through us for a period and then joins your payroll.

Interim
Need someone next week? We know the locums and interim staff in our network personally: we know what each of them can do, what rate goes with it, and who is available when. For maternity leave, sick cover, or the months between two permanent staff.

Secondment
Can’t use a self-employed contractor because of false self-employment rules? Then the person joins our payroll and works in your practice. We work with an SNA-registered and NEN 4400-1 certified partner, so you get the cover and keep the risk outside your door.
Locum work
A locum for a day, for a period, or with a permanent role in mind further down the line. We work out together which arrangement fits best — it doesn’t have to be settled straight away.

Frequently asked questions.
What does it cost to work with Denta Staffing?
We’re not secretive about it. Recruitment & selection costs 25% of the full-time gross annual salary including holiday allowance — for that, one specialist works your vacancy from start to finish, and it stays the same specialist. For interim and locum work, a full-time week carries a margin of at most € 17,50 per hour on top of the contractor’s own rate. For secondment the rate depends on the role and the hours; we work that out for you before you commit to anything. There is no small print — so you know exactly where you stand beforehand.
How many candidates will I be shown?
Usually three. For each assignment we aim for a handful of candidates who are all worth interviewing — a real choice rather than a stack of CVs. And if the first one is a match straight away, you won’t hear us complain.
How does the process work?
First a visit to your practice: what does the person need to be able to do, how does the day run, who will the new colleague be working alongside? After that we go into our network with purpose — no job-advert spam — and only put forward candidates who stand a real chance. You conduct the interviews; we guide the process until the contract is signed. And we stay in touch after that too.
How quickly will someone be in the practice?
Locum and interim cover is often arranged quickly: we know our network personally, so we know who has capacity. For permanent roles we take the time to come with the right people. We don’t make promises about lead times — those depend just as much on your own process. We are happy to think along about that process: what can a practice do to make it as likely as possible that someone says yes?
Which roles do you fill for practices?
Anything where dental care is the heart of the work — permanent, interim, secondment and locum. Among others:
- Dentist
- Implantologist
- Endodontist
- Orthodontist
- Dental hygienist
- Prevention assistant
- Periodontal prevention assistant
- Dental assistant
- Orthodontic assistant
- Practice manager
- Dental technician
- Front desk and reception staff
What is the difference between permanent, interim, secondment and locum work?
With recruitment & selection the person joins your payroll — we take on the search and the selection and guide it through to the signature. With interim and locum work you hire a self-employed professional temporarily, often at short notice. With secondment the person joins our payroll and works in your practice — the route to take when self-employment isn’t an option.
Can I still use self-employed staff in my practice?
As long as it is genuine self-employment, yes. But since the Dutch tax authority started enforcing false-self-employment rules more strictly, someone who is a fixed part of your rota can’t always be engaged that way. If freelance isn’t possible, we solve it with secondment: the person joins our payroll and works in your practice. We work with an SNA-registered and NEN 4400-1 certified partner, so you carry no hirer’s liability.
And if it doesn’t work out during the probation period?
Then we sort it out together. Exactly what applies is agreed up front in the quote, so you don’t have to negotiate afterwards at the worst possible moment. Solving your problem is the point — a placement that doesn’t hold isn’t a placement to us either.
Can you recruit discreetly?
Yes. Dental care is a small world: sometimes you want to look for someone without your team or the practice around the corner knowing. In that case we recruit without naming you, and only say who you are once a candidate is serious and you have agreed to it.
Why choose a specialist rather than a general agency?
Because we know what separates a prevention assistant from a periodontal prevention assistant, what a dental hygienist is allowed to do independently, and why one practice suits someone and another doesn’t. A generalist sends CVs matched on keywords; we speak to the people ourselves and know the market they work in.
Do you work throughout the Netherlands?
Yes, for practices throughout the Netherlands. The practice visit is always part of it, wherever you are — that is precisely the part we don’t skip.
Do I have to work with you exclusively, or can I use other agencies too?
For the first six weeks we work exclusively. We don’t ask that to tie you down, but because we invest up front: we come to you, get to know your practice and approach people personally. That work only makes sense if we aren’t calling the same candidates as four other agencies — because then you are the practice that turns up everywhere at once, and that does your reputation no favours. If it produces nothing within that period, you are free to look elsewhere.
Can you fill several roles, or a whole team, at once?
Yes. Whether it is a single assistant or staffing a new treatment room: we take on several roles at once and agree an order up front — who do you need first, and what can wait. We work the same way for practice groups with several sites: one point of contact and terms that apply across all of them.
