For practices

Permanent recruitment for dental care.

A vacancy that just won’t fill costs more than you think: waiting time, pressure on the team, and at some point patients too. We find the permanent colleague to fill it — and we don’t start with a job advert but with a visit to your practice.

Clinical team at work in a dental practice

Why recruiting in dental care works differently.

Dental care is a small world. People know each other, practices know each other, and whoever leaves one place often resurfaces two streets away. That has two consequences. An advert that appears everywhere at once gets noticed — and not in your favour. And the people you most want to speak to aren’t applying for jobs.

Then there is the scarcity. For a dental hygienist or a dentist the pool is small and the good people are already working somewhere. Then the only thing that works is a personal approach, by someone who knows the market and whose calls get returned.

Honestly: we make no promises about lead times. Those depend just as much on your own process — how quickly you schedule interviews, how you build the offer, how long you take to decide. We’re happy to think that through with you, because that is often exactly where a good candidate drops out.

How it works.

We visit first

Before a single job advert exists, we want to see your practice. How does the day run, what kind of work comes in, and who will the new colleague be working alongside? Without that picture we’d just be sending CVs back and forth.

Sharpening the profile

What does someone genuinely need to be able to do, and what is a wish that can be learnt later? That distinction determines whether you’re fishing in a pool of three people or thirty. We’ll tell you if a profile doesn’t exist on the market.

Into the network, with purpose

We approach people personally. No advert that turns up everywhere at once — in a small world that does your name no favours, and it mostly attracts candidates who apply everywhere.

A handful of candidates, not a stack

Usually three, all worth interviewing. You conduct the interviews; we prepare them on both sides and make sure no surprises land on the table.

Guiding it to the signature

The offer, the objections, the notice period with the current employer. That is where a good candidate most often drops out, and that is where we stay on top of it. Afterwards we keep in touch — with you and with the candidate.

Which roles.

For every role where dental care is the heart of the work: dentist, orthodontist, dental hygienist, prevention assistant, periodontal prevention assistant, dental assistant, practice manager, dental technician. If you are specifically looking for a dentist or a dental hygienist, those pages explain in more detail how we go about it.

When recruitment isn’t the answer.

Permanent recruitment delivers a permanent hire. Often that is what you need — but not always. Three situations where something else fits better:

Someone is temporarily out

Illness, leave, or a colleague leaving while the schedule is full. Then you don’t need a permanent hire but a locum.

You need cover for longer, but self-employment isn’t an option

If someone is a fixed part of your rota, a self-employed arrangement won’t hold up. Secondment is the answer: the person joins our payroll and works in your practice.

Seconding a dentist →

Seconding a dental hygienist →

You’re looking for flexible, genuinely independent work

A self-employed professional with their own schedule, own rate and several clients. That is allowed, provided it actually works that way.

Not sure which form fits? That is exactly the conversation we like to have most — before anything is set in stone.

Frequently asked questions.

What does permanent recruitment cost?

Permanent recruitment costs 25% of the full-time gross annual salary including holiday allowance — a fixed amount, agreed before we start, with no recalculation afterwards. The full breakdown is on the frequently asked questions page; we work it out for your situation before you commit to anything.

How many candidates will I see?

Usually three. Rather a few people who are all worth interviewing than a stack of CVs for you to wade through. If the first one is a match, you won’t hear us complain.

How long does it take?

That depends on the role and on the market. A dental assistant is usually quicker than a dental hygienist, simply because there are more of them. We don’t promise lead times we can’t deliver — but we will tell you straight away whether what you’re looking for is realistic.

Do I have to work with you exclusively?

For the first six weeks, yes. Not to tie you down, but because we invest up front: visiting you, getting to know your practice, approaching people personally. With four agencies calling the same people, you become the practice that turns up everywhere, and that doesn’t help you. If it produces nothing, you are free.

Can the search be discreet?

Yes. Sometimes you want to look for someone without your team or the practice around the corner knowing. Then we recruit without naming you, and only say who you are once a candidate is serious and you give the go-ahead.

What if the new hire leaves again quickly?

Then we search again, within the agreed guarantee period. What that period is, we agree up front and put in the quote — not in small print afterwards.

Which roles do you do this for?

For every role where dental care is the heart of the work: dentist, orthodontist, dental hygienist, prevention assistant, periodontal prevention assistant, dental assistant, practice manager, dental technician.
