Seven years’ experience in two practices. Already does some of the prevention work and wants to do more of it.
In the current practice gives brushing instruction, applies fluoride and does fissure sealing for children, in between the chairside work. Finds that this leaves too little time to really follow patients. Has seen in both practices how much difference good explanation makes, especially for children with a lot of cavities. Also supervises interns and likes to explain why something is done a certain way.
