Prevention assistant.

A Rotterdam practice is looking for a prevention assistant to run their own prevention clinic and build the programme further. You get the freedom to shape it yourself — and the responsibility that comes with it.
What you’ll be doing
You run an independent prevention clinic: scaling, brushing instruction, advice on diet and oral habits, and aftercare following treatment. Your own schedule, your own patients.
Alongside that you help build the practice’s prevention programme: who gets recalled and when, what people take home with them, and how to follow up patients who stop coming. You coordinate with the dentists and the dental hygienist, but how it is filled in is largely down to you.

This suits you if you would rather build something than take something over. There is no ready-made playbook: you have a say in what prevention will look like in this practice. If you mainly want to run a clearly defined clinic without that extra task, this is not the place.
What the practice offers
- Salary between € 2.500 and € 3.400 gross per month on a full-time basis, plus 8% holiday allowance

The practice has two dentists and a dental hygienist. Prevention deliberately gets its own place in the patient journey here, not just a note in the record — which is why this role exists.
Education and experience
Prevention certification is a hard requirement, as is a completed dental assistant qualification. Experience of running an independent clinic is a plus but not a condition.
What you bring
Independence and an appetite for building something that isn’t there yet. You can give advice without becoming preachy, including to patients who have been doing it differently for twenty years. Honestly: the prevention programme is still in its infancy — you get the freedom to build it, but there is no ready-made structure yet.
