A personal answer, usually within three days.
A growing practice in Apeldoorn is looking for a dentist for three to four days. A dentist from abroad with BIG registration is welcome.
What you’ll be doing
You do general dentistry in a practice that added a fifth treatment room last year. You build up your own schedule with new patients.
Because your schedule isn’t full yet, you have time per patient in the first few months. You can do a thorough examination at a calm pace, explain a treatment plan properly and get used to how the practice works. You use gaps to observe colleagues or to get your records in order.
If you come from abroad, you get a regular colleague as your point of contact for the first few months. You can go to them with questions about how things work in the Netherlands, such as referrals, billing and the arrangements with health insurers.
Who this suits
This suits you if you are just starting out in the Netherlands and are looking for a practice that takes the time to show you the ropes.
It also suits you if you would rather build up gradually than take over a full schedule straight away. You grow along with the practice. If you want a full schedule from day one, a practice with an existing patient base is a better fit.
What the practice offers
- Salary between € 4.500 and € 6.000 gross per month for 4 days
- 3 to 4 days a week
- A regular colleague as your point of contact
- Thinking along with you about housing in the first few months
- Time per patient in the first few months, while your schedule grows
- Your own patient group that you build up yourself
Education and experience
A dentist with BIG registration. You speak Dutch at B2 level or higher. A qualification from abroad is no problem, as long as your registration is complete. You can explain a treatment and hold a conversation with a patient in Dutch.
What you bring
You want to build up your own patient group and take the time to do so.
You ask when you don’t know something about how things work here. You are open towards new patients and give them a reason to come back. And you don’t mind that the first few months are quieter than you may be used to.
Honestly: the schedule still needs to grow. In the first few months there will be gaps in it.
