A general practice in Tilburg is looking for a dentist for four to five days. You take over the patients of a colleague who is retiring.
What you’ll be doing
You take over the regular patients of a colleague who is retiring. You do general dentistry, with a lot of crown and bridge work and prosthodontics.
Many patients have been coming to this practice for years. In the first few months you get to know them: who has which treatment under way, who wears dentures and who has put off care. You make your own treatment plans and discuss them with the patient, so that the move to a new dentist goes smoothly.
You work with two dental hygienists and a prevention assistant, so you can focus on the treatments. They do the routine cleanings and the prevention. You concentrate on diagnosis, restorative work and prosthodontics.
Who this suits
This suits you if you want a patient base of your own in a place where you will stay for years.
You need to enjoy prosthodontics and crown and bridge work, because that is a large part of the job. If you are mainly after paediatric dentistry or a young patient base, you will find less of that here. If you like comprehensive treatment plans, you will have plenty to do here.

Education and experience
A dentist with BIG registration. Experience with prosthodontics is a plus. You can run a full schedule independently, because you will have one from the first week. Drawing up comprehensive treatment plans and explaining them clearly is part of your daily work.

You take time for older patients who were used to their previous dentist. You listen, explain and build trust that way. You consult easily with the dental hygienists and the rest of the team, so that each patient’s care fits together well.
Honestly: the patient base is on the older side, with a lot of dentures and relatively few children.
