A general practice in Almere is looking for a dental assistant for about four months, to cover a maternity leave. You are employed through our secondment partner.
What you’ll be doing
You take over from an assistant who is going on leave: assisting with general treatment, preparing rooms and sterilisation.
In the first week you shadow that colleague, so you know the schedule and the practice’s habits. You see how the dentists like their rooms set up, where everything is and which patients need a little extra attention.
After that you work independently within the existing schedule, with the practice’s regular patients. Your contract and your salary run through our secondment partner. With the practice you discuss the work and the rota.
Who this suits
This suits you if you are flexible and can settle in somewhere quickly.
It also suits you if you want to bridge a few months, or look around at another practice before making a permanent choice. If you want long-term security right now, a permanent job is a better step.
What the practice offers
- Salary between € 2.500 and € 3.000 gross per month on a full-time basis, plus 8% holiday allowance
- 24 to 32 hours a week, for about four months
- A week’s induction with the colleague who is going on leave
- Afterwards we look together for your next position
- Employed through our secondment partner, who arranges your contract and salary
- Work in a practice with a settled team and regular patients
Education and experience
A dental assistant qualification and experience in a general practice. Because you work independently after one week, you are no longer a newcomer. You know the routine treatments and the sterilisation, so you only need to learn this practice’s habits.
What you bring
You fit in easily with a team whose members have known each other for years.
In the first week you ask everything you want to know, and after that you pick things up yourself. You adapt to how things are done here, even if you did them differently at a previous practice. Patients notice little of the change, because you are calm and friendly.
Honestly: this is a temporary position. Whether a permanent one follows depends on the practice; we don’t promise that.
