A practice in Amstelveen is looking for a dental assistant for a permanent position of 24 to 32 hours a week, chairside and now and then at reception. You join a small team that has worked together for years.
What you’ll be doing
You assist chairside with general treatment, prepare the treatment rooms and keep on top of sterilisation. Alongside that you help at reception and in the daily rhythm of the practice.
The practice has two dentists and a dental hygienist. Each day you are paired with one clinician, so you know where you stand. For the first few weeks you work alongside an experienced colleague, until you know the schedule and the practice’s habits.

This suits you if you are looking for a permanent position in a manageable team, where after a while you know the patients by name. If you only want to work chairside and never at reception, this is less your place.

Education and experience
A completed dental assistant qualification and at least a year of chairside experience. Radiography certification is a plus, not a requirement.
What you bring
Experience as a dental assistant and enjoyment of the variety between chair and reception. You like a fixed routine and ask questions when something is unclear. You work carefully, even when it is busy, and you keep sterilisation in order without anyone having to ask.
Honestly: in a small team you step in when someone is ill. Then you sometimes spend a whole day at reception instead of chairside.
