A practice in Amstelveen is looking for temporary support from a dental assistant during a period of leave of about three months. You cover for a permanent member of staff in a team that simply keeps going.
What you’ll be doing
You cover for a permanent member of staff: assisting chairside with general treatment, preparing treatment rooms and keeping on top of sterilisation. Alongside that you help at reception and in the daily rhythm of the practice.
Because this is cover, there is little induction time — the team will show you around quickly, but the schedule carries on. You pick up what is there and keep the days running smoothly. The practice has two dentists and a dental hygienist; each day you are paired with one clinician, so you know where you stand.
Who this suits
This suits you if you are between two jobs, want to get to know a practice from the inside, or deliberately choose temporary work. If you want somewhere you can grow into a permanent role, this is not the route.

- Pay between € 2.400 and € 3.000 gross per month pro rata; if you would rather work on a self-employed basis, we convert that into an hourly rate

Education and experience
A completed dental assistant qualification and at least a year of chairside experience. Because this is cover, there is no room for a long induction: you need to be working independently within a few days. Radiography certification is a plus, not a requirement.

Experience as a dental assistant, so that you can start without a long induction. You find your place quickly in a team you don’t know yet and ask when something is unclear. Honestly: a temporary assignment with no promise of a permanent role — a good way to get to know a practice, but no immediate security.
