A personal answer, usually within three days.

A practice for general dentistry and orthodontics in Den Bosch is looking for a dental assistant for 28 to 36 hours. Two half-days a week you help out in orthodontics.

What you’ll be doing

You assist with general treatment. Two half-days a week you help out in orthodontics: preparing brackets, taking photos and impressions.

On the general days you are beside the dentists for check-ups, fillings and crown work. Orthodontics works differently. You see a lot of young patients, the appointments are shorter and you work to a fixed routine for each treatment.

The practice has just switched to new practice software. You help set it up properly. Think of setting up standard appointment types, checking data and passing on what isn’t working yet.

Who this suits

This suits you if you want to get to know orthodontics without switching to it completely.

It also suits you if you enjoy helping to shape how things work. In the first few months not everything will go right first time. If you stay calm and think along, you will have a say in how the system ends up working.

What the practice offers

  • Salary between € 2.600 and € 3.250 gross per month on a full-time basis, plus 8% holiday allowance
  • 28 to 36 hours a week
  • Induction in orthodontics
  • Training budget
  • Variety between general dentistry and orthodontics
  • Room to think along about how the new practice software is set up

Education and experience

A dental assistant qualification and at least a year of experience. You don’t need experience in orthodontics; you will be trained in it. You start by observing and preparing things, then gradually take over more yourself.

What you bring

You are handy with computers and don’t mind if something isn’t finished yet.

You note down what goes wrong in the system and pass it on, so it can be fixed. You get on well with children and teenagers in orthodontics. And you switch easily between a general day and an orthodontics day.

Honestly: the new practice software isn’t running smoothly yet. In the first few months that sometimes takes extra time.
