A practice with two sites in Eindhoven is looking for a dental assistant for 24 to 32 hours. Lots of young families, so you also work a lot with children.
What you’ll be doing
You assist with general treatment and with children, because the practice attracts a lot of families. You prepare the rooms, take X-rays if you are certified to and keep track of stock.
With children it is about more than assisting. You explain in plain words what is going to happen, show them the instruments first and give parents tips for brushing at home.
At the second site you work in a smaller team and do more at reception. You book appointments, answer the phone and look after patients who come in without an appointment. That way, after a few months you know both teams and both ways of working.
Who this suits
This suits you if you are good with children and parents and don’t mind working in two places.
If you would rather have the same room and the same colleagues every day, the fixed day at the other site may be a drawback. If you actually like your week not being the same every day, you get a large and a small team in one job here.

Education and experience
A dental assistant qualification. If you get your certificate this year, you can apply too. As a newcomer you are trained at the large site, where there is always an experienced colleague nearby.
What you bring
Patience with young patients and a calm way of explaining things. You switch easily between two teams.
You don’t mind getting down to eye level with a child who is afraid to sit in the chair. With parents you stay friendly and clear, even when they are nervous themselves. And you keep track of what is in stock at each site, so nobody runs out of materials.
Honestly: one day a week you work at the second site, a fifteen-minute drive away. That day is fixed in the rota.
