Dental assistant.

- € 2.700–€ 3.300 gross per month
A personal answer, usually within three days.
A large practice in Zwolle with six clinicians, including an implantologist, is looking for a dental assistant for 32 to 38 hours. You also assist with surgery and implantology.
What you’ll be doing
You assist with general treatment and with implantology: working sterile, setting out the surgical kit and explaining the aftercare to the patient.
On a surgery day your work looks different from a normal day. You prepare the room, check that all instruments and implant components are ready and guard the sterile field during the procedure. Afterwards you tell the patient what they can and can’t do in the days that follow, and book the check-up.
The team is large and has a dedicated planner. Each week you know who you will be working with. One day you are beside a general dentist, the next beside the implantologist. That way you get to know different ways of working and see many kinds of treatment.
Who this suits
This suits you if you want to progress in surgery and implantology and like being part of a large team.
You do need to be comfortable adapting. Every clinician has their own habits, from the order of the instruments to the way they talk to patients. If you enjoy that, you will learn quickly here.
What the practice offers
- Salary between € 2.700 and € 3.300 gross per month on a full-time basis, plus 8% holiday allowance
- 32 to 38 hours a week
- In-house training in surgical assisting
- A pension scheme and an annual training budget
- Working alongside an implantologist, with a lot of surgical treatment
- A dedicated planner, so you know each week who you will be working with
Education and experience
A dental assistant qualification and at least two years’ experience. Experience with implantology is nice to have, but you will be shown the ropes. You start by observing and setting out the surgical kit. After that, step by step, you assist with the procedures yourself.
What you bring
You work accurately and keep things sterile, even when the pace is high.
You follow the protocols, even when nobody is watching. You dare to ask a clinician how they want something done, rather than guessing. And you can tell a patient who has just had a procedure, calmly and clearly, what comes next.
Honestly: you work with different clinicians. Anyone who really wants one regular dentist won’t find that here.
