A practice for aesthetic dentistry in Amsterdam is looking for a freelance dentist for two days a week. You treat veneers, whitening and small aesthetic corrections, on a revenue basis.
What you’ll be doing
You treat veneers, whitening, composite bonding and small aesthetic corrections. Together with the patient you make a plan, with before and after photos, so the result is clear in advance.
You work with the dental technician on shade matching and shape. You get time for a long intake conversation, because aesthetic wishes need explaining.
Patients who need more, for example an inflamed tooth, you refer on or discuss with the practice’s fellow dentist.
Who this suits
This suits you if aesthetics is your craft and you have patience with a patient who knows exactly what they want. You are creative and precise.
It suits you less if you would rather run a full schedule of check-ups and fillings. The work is specialised.

Education and experience
A dentist with BIG registration and at least four years’ experience, preferably with aesthetic treatments such as veneers and whitening. As a self-employed professional you arrange your own registration and insurance.
What you bring
You have an eye for detail and for colour. You listen to what a patient wants and say honestly when something isn’t feasible.
You help build a patient base yourself and you don’t mind working with a quieter schedule at first.
Honestly: the schedule is not full from day one. In the first months you help build up your own patients and the revenue is lower.
